Invernia II was the inhabited second planet in its star system. The planet was subject to ionic storms and had diplomatic relations with the Federation in the mid-24th century. In 2351, Richard Bashir was a Federation diplomat on the planet. It was after witnessing the death of an Invernian girl that a young Julian Bashir decided to become a doctor. (DS9: "Melora") This planet was only mentioned in dialogue. The Star Trek Encyclopedia (4th ed., vol. 1, p. 374) located Invernia II in the Invernia system.
