The Torch Liberation Army was an armed force made up of a combination of Solarian League Marine Corps "volunteers", members of the Audubon Ballroom, and former Scrag female warriors known as Amazons. Solarian marine officer Thandi Palane was put in charge of the unit to conduct Operation Spartacus, the liberation of the planet Torch from its Mesan slave masters. The operation was a success, eventually leading to the creation of the Kingdom of Torch. (CS1)
