The crystal defender is the strongest defender available, alongside the barrows defender. It is used for its attack bonus and is held in the off-hand slot, in place of a shield. It requires 70 Attack, 70 Defence and 50 Agility to wield. The crystal defender can be obtained as a drop from the Crystal dragon or Crystal strykewyrms, only after obtaining a Dragon defender. Players have to show their Dragon defender to Kamfreena to obtain this as a drop. Ring of wealth does not affect the chances of getting it as a drop.
