The Ambrose Erik Bauer Canal (commonly referred to as the Bauer Canal) is a canal linking the Caltropic Lakes of Dovani to the Verranderlijke Ocean, with a route crossing over the Carina Neck . At 224 miles long, and with two sets of locks rising above the Caltropic Highlands, it is the longest and most expensive canal ever built. Named after famous Hulstrian politician and human rights advocate Ambrose Bauer, the canal has assumed a major role in world commerce, and has led to the rise of Rutania as a world power.
