an Entity in Data Space: dbkwik.org

The LIM-417 Phalanx is a long-range hypervelocity missile capable of engaging craft to the limits of the stratosphere. The missile employs a three-stage booster system and uses active and passive seekers to track the target, including radar, infrared, optical, and ultraviolet sensors, as well as homing in on any jamming signals. It can make mid-flight corrections based on data received from its ground station, and uses a multi-dart kinetic penetration warhead, which can be adjusted by the fusing mechanism into an optimum "swarm" pattern prior to impact.
