Candy Amos was the wife of Sandford Amos, the mayor of Chicago during 1988. She murdered Sandford in her home in Pawnee, as Sandford was very abusive towards her. Candy died in prison one year later, however she became a local legend, a symbol of female empowerment and revolution.
