The Shadow Scale is a crafting material only obtainable by fighting the Eater of Worlds. Shadow Scales are vital ingredients in most equipment. You will need 56 Shadow Scales to craft all the items — 45 for the full armor set and 11 for the Nightmare Pickaxe and The Breaker.
