"It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God" – a phrase used by Chambers near the end of the story "In the Court of the Dragon". But who is the Living God? The following is extracted from Hastur & The King In Yellow by DJ Tyrer (having appeared in the King In Yellow Anthology and The Supplement magazine) : The quotation (in the form 'terrible thing') is also used as the title of a poem by DS Davidson in the 2007 King In Yellow Anthology, as well as playing a recurring role in his Yellow Vignettes.
