Kenner Russell is the younger brother of Nick Russell (the Red Mystic Force Ranger). Kenner studied with his parents Udonna (the White Mystic Force Ranger) and Leanbow (the Wolf Warrior) and tried to learn the arts of magic. To his dismay, Kenner seemed to be a magic null, a human unable to use magic. Being the only member of his family that wasn't a Mystic Force Power Ranger and had no magical powers weighed heavily on Kenner. Discovering a legend in his mother's spellbook about a golden shield that gave the powers of the constellation Leo to its wielder, Kenner secretly set off on a quest to find it. After a treacherous journey, Kenner finally found the golden shield and it transformed into the Leo Morpher. Activating the Morpher turned Kenner into the Arcane Ranger, armed with star-base
