The Battle of Riesen III was a small battle of the Cruentusian War. It occurred during the Taung Confederacy's campaign against the Sinyan Imperium, during the stage when the Taungs were striking across the Sinya system. The Taung's first target was the moon of Riesen III, a mining colony orbiting the gas giant Riesen which, was located on the edge of the system. After an eliminated the Sinyan's orbital and ground defenses, the Taung attackers were able to overwhelm the troops below the surface and take control of the moon.
