It is the successor of the RG2570E with an Edge Zero tremolo instead of an Edge Pro. Other features are a basswood body, DiMarzio IBZ pickups, a bound rosewood fingerboard with wedge sharktooth inlays. In 2010 three new finishes were introduced along with the new Wizard HP neck profile. A similar guitar model with a maple fingerboard is the RG2570MZ. The RG2570Z was discontinued after 2014, being essentially replaced by the RG2570ZA which is similar except for the pickups used and the fingerboard details.
