Ferns were common throughout Middle-Earth, in the Northwest the most common fern was Woodfern, sometimes known as witcheswort, Worm's fern ,Fernwort, Hart's Toe, Otterwort, Flea#s Wort, Five-finger#s Wort, Lucky Hand and by many other names. Some more uncommon types were Klandun, Yake, Fukui, Aelgus and Naurant.
