The cat version of Robotnik first appeared in an April Fool's Day picture by Adamis. The artist produced the teaser under the pretense that Tom Huxley had written a new Brotherhood of Metallix. However, with feigned spelling difficulties, the actual result was the "Brotherhood of Meatllix", meaty robots designed by Robotnikat to kill Sonic the Hedgehog. Despite nobody really knowing what the cat was, Boomers enjoyed the idea.
