The 2012 Guwahati molestation case refers to the molestation incident in Guwahati city, the capital city of Assam, an Indian state, on 9 July 2012. This case attained peculiar notoriety since it involved the molestation and manhandling of a girl in Guwahati by a crowd of approximately 30 people. A local TV journalist from News Live t.v channel was accused of instigating a mob outside a bar on G.S road to molest the girl. The journalist was arrested on 20 July 2012 and the investigations are going on.
