PKDX-201r, released as Pokédex and now known as Pokédex 1.0 is the fiirst portable computer that is in a line of personal encyclopedias now known as the Pokédex. Though not the first of its kind, the Pokédex recieved attention when it was endorsed by the Department of Trainers as a necessary tool for a Trainer licence. Upon release, it was distributed to all 3.2 million trainers in Kanto after a select 20,000 worldwide tested it. The Pokédex contained information that pertained to its own region.
