Daral Zen was a Jedi Padawan who was known for being impatient and arrogant. Through those traits, he fell to the dark side. His best friend, Neela Vendara, also fell to the dark side. The two stole a starship and left Dantooine. They flew to Taris and gathered supplies for two months. When they had enough supplies they flew throughout the galaxy, conquering farmlands. While they were on Kashyyyk some of Malak’s droids came to inform them that Malak requested their presence aboard the Star Forge. They went with the droids and boarded their ship. Daral and Neela met Malak waiting for them in the hangar. Malak told them he was pleased with their experience and invited them to join him. Daral and Neela agreed and were sent on separate missions.
