After the fall of the city, Pedro signed up for the Blade Hunters, along with most of the other male survivors and a lot of other people from the surrounding planets, and was put into a scout team 1 week later, along with 3 other people, all survivors of the attack on the city. In their first op 2 days later every member of their squad except Pedro was killed. Two months later, Pedro was transitioned into a full Space marine, and thus began his hate filled fighting against the Tau empire.
