The Windward Passage is the channel of water that lies between Cuba and Haiti on the island of Hispaniola, and connects the Caribbean Sea to the Atlantic Ocean. In the summer of 1943, Indiana Jones and George McHale were flying over the strait to find the Heart of Darkness when their airplane's engine gave out and they crashed into the sea, killing the pilot Raul.
