The Strongholds of the Ered Wethrin were a chain of fortifications built by the Noldor and Edain to guard Morgoth's realm from the west.Mayor fortresses of the line were Ost-in-Aradan, Fangros, Barad Eithel, Ost Magor and Minas Tirith and Amon Darthir and Bar-i-Dagorlind in the southern Ered Wethrin.
