E-8 blaster pistols, were large, heavy pistols that many mercenaries used in battle. They shot out "packets" of ionized air particles, that when focused through a peraxium funnel, made the gas thick and dense, making the ion "packet" deadly at both close and far-away range. They were created by the Mandalorians during the Second Galactic Civil War.
