If you lose the leg you can get another from the ghost of General Khazard who says "Here, take another. They are easy to come by." If the player has completed the Hand in the Sand quest, Khazard will ask them why they are not surprised to see the leg. The player will reply that they have "dealt with this sort of thing before". This is a reference to Clarence's gruesome severed hand that plays a main part in the aforementioned quest.
