The personality stage (こせーて期kosēteki) is a new type of stage introduced on the Tamagotchi 4U. It is a special stage where a Tamagotchi character takes on a different form, gaining new appearance and personality traits. So far, it is exclusive to adult characters. On the Tamagotchi 4U, all 10 built-in characters have either one or two Personality Stage forms. Downloadable characters do not yet have Personality Stage forms.
