Harris had known Elizabeth Collins Stoddard for a long time, but they hadn't met at all from 1963 until 1967, when she called him to Collinsport to open up a trust fund for her nephew David (44). A day earlier, investment banker James Blair had approached him about acquiring notes and mortgages related to the Collins assets. Harris was unaware that Blair represented Burke Devlin (42).
