Lord Randolph Churchill and his very-pregnant new wife decide to emigrate to the United States. Although this causes a lot of friction in his family, this is something that he felt needed to be done. He immediately runs for the position of Alderman in New York City. He loses because he is seen as being a carpetbagger and no one knows him that well. Randolph makes his third, and final, attempt to be an Alderman for the City of New York. With the backing of the mayor he is at last successful.
