Derom (DARE-ohm) was a corporal who served in the Third Company of the King's Own in Sergeant Domitan's squad. He only appeared during the Battle of Forgotten Well in mid-August, 459 HE. Derom was shot and killed by a Scanran arrow during one of the enemy's volleys. He was the first of Dom's corporals to be killed; Dom's second corporal, Symric, was killed after Kel took command of Dom's squad.
