The Black Gem (黒宝石 Kuro hōseki) is a gem that is exclusive to Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. The Black Gem serves no other practical purpose apart from providing gold through its sale to a vendor (exactly 15,000 gold). The Black Gem, along its other lucrative gem counterparts, is substituted by the Bullion in the later entries to the Fire Emblem Series.
