Tiaohe is the name of a spell from the Isles of the Dawn, which bestows an incredible calm onto the recipient, so much so that they do not even mind witnessing their own doom hurtling towards them. An interesting side-effect of this spell is that if the horrific Biantai is used against a person which it is affecting, the latter spell will simply be cancelled out, its purple tendrils changing to a gentle green before simply fading from existence. It was this that allowed Maior to survive such an attack by his brother Feior during their duel.
