Chloe Cunningham was the daughter of Lawrence Cunningham and sister to James. Her father was born out of wedlock between Ken Barlow and Susan Cunningham, however they had ended their relationship before Susan discovered that she was pregnant. Ken was unaware that his son and grandchildren existed until September 2010 when he was contacted by James.
