The original Name given in the MERP Publications, "Burh Tregarth" seems to be derived from early anglo-saxon Burhs (fortress), treo (Tree) and anglo-saxon or old frankish gard (Garden, yard). The proper old frankish form could be Treugardburg or Trigardburg.Triugardabaurg is a logical meso-gothic form that would reflect the old rhovanian Name of the place as it would have been known about TA 1640.
