Leonard Masterman was a Havenite citizen from a prominent Legislaturist family, and a career diplomat. In 1903 PD, he was the Havenite ambassador to the Protectorate of Grayson, believing strongly in the rules of diplomacy. He attempted to use the excuse of Captain Honor Harrington's gender against her, and try to get Grayson to side with Haven, in which he was partially successful. He considered Operation Odysseus in the Basilisk System a failure due to poor implementation. (HH2)
