The RG3770DX features a basswood body bolted to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret maple fingerboard with sharktooth position markers. Components include DiMarzio pickups with two humbuckers flanking a single-coil, an Edge tremolo bridge with a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines. The most striking aspect of the model is that the pickups, headstock, inlays and knobs are all color matched to the finish. The RG3770FZ is somewhat similar but with an exotic flamed maple top, without the color-matched pickups and with a different tremolo and inlays.
