The General Council of the Southern Cross Republic, literally General Council of the Republic (Portuguese: Conselho Geral da República, CGR) or the legislative branch is elected by people for a four year term by first-past-the-post. The South Crossic political system operates under a framework laid out in the 1912 constitutional document. The South Crossic parliament has 101 General Council Members, GCMs (Membros do Conselho Geral or MCGs).
