The United Earth Accords were the legal documents that established the global government of United Earth in the early 21st century. As part of the Accords, the space-based SDI defensive system was deactivated. (TOS novel: Strangers from the Sky) As with much information from Strangers, this version of the founding of United Earth has been invalidated by subsequent canonical productions. The ST novel: Articles of the Federation calls United Earth's founding document the Traité d'Unification.
