The Ottawa Montagnards had split the 1959-60 season between Ottawa and Hawkesbury as the Ottawa-Hawkesbury Montagnards. This was because of poor attendance in Ottawa. In 1960-61 they moved to Hawkesbury for the entire season, They finished in second place in the Interprovincial Junior League and lost the final. The experiment was not successful and the Montagnards moved back to Ottawa for the 1961-62 season.
