Dr. Tran Chi Duc (b. 1969) was a physician who treated Johnny Smith after he awoke from his coma in 2001. He was born in Viet Nam and lived there with his mother until he was six; in April of 1975, his mother passed him to an American soldier at the Saigon Airport, ensuring his passage to the United States. He believed his mother to have been killed by mortar fire in the Fall of Saigon, though Smith later indicated that she had survived, and Tran eventually located her in Vietnam. Tran was portrayed by Rick Tae.
