The Gulf-class Light Cruiser was a experimental Light Cruiser that appeared out of Earth's Spaceworks only just in time for the First Battle of Earth. The ship, created as a possible replacement to the huge Light Cruisers that, due to supply shortages, were no longer being made. The Gulf-class, as well as being quite agile compared to the much-larger Crusiers, also packed a powerful loadout for a ship of its size, comprising of 2 Heavy MAC Cannons, a MAC Cannon, 28 Mini-MAC Guns in 14 turrets stratigically located arounf the ship, and a pair of large-caliber Point-Defense Autoguns per side.
