These men guarded the Ring of Isengard's gates. They were first seen in The Fellowship of the Ring when Gandalf goes to see Saruman. Something about them makes Gandalf suspicious. They were probably of Dunlending descent. In The Two Towers when the Ents attack Isengard these men attack them with fire arrows and axes. After the battle the Ents question them and let them go. Their fate is unknown, some may have joined Saruman's Ruffian's. Others may have lived peacefully.In the movies, a figure is shown patrolling the wall. It is unknown if this is one of these men or an Orc.
