Doc Severinsen — incorrectly billed as Doc Severinson for his role as "Muffin Calhoun" on BW: "Road to Nashville" — is perhaps best known as the longtime leader of the NBC Orchestra on Johnny Carson's The Tonight Show. He is so indelibly associated with the jazz trumpet that he has found a career in semi-retirement handmaking a line of premium trumpets for other musicians. His work on The Bionic Woman is one of the few times he has been credited as an actor, although he was a regular performer in sketches on The Tonight Show.
