Sage City's Sheriff Sam Peters was Two-Gun Lil's father. His deputy, Bob Cross, sends a telegram to Lil in Boston, informing her that her father was murdered. She returns to Sage City for revenge, discovering the killer was Garson Cade with the help of Cade's hired man, Bunco. Two-Gun Lil Peters becomes the Sheriff in her father's place, with Deputy Cross retaining his position.
