StarTropics is known as a forgotten classic. Many retro game reviewers praise StarTropics for its fun gameplay, catchy music, and interesting storyline. One reason why StarTropics is not going strong is the fact that its sequel was released on the NES after the Super NES came out. There was a rumor for a StarTropics for the Wii being made by Nintendo and Camelot. Unfortunately, due to no coverage at E3 2009, it remained just a rumor.
