Goombules are a sub-species of Goomba as an organism Goomba reigning inside of Bowser's body in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. These enemies are found in the Trash Pit and in the Pump Works. These enemies can be attacked by being jumped on, hammers, or by special attacks. They are also known to be the weakest enemies in the game. When Mario and Luigi gain a new Special Attack, they are the enemies shown in the demo to be attacked. When they are defeated, they may drop a Mushroom or Syrup. They also have a sub-species called an Elite Goombule that can only be harmed by the Green Shell.
