The Taxi Driver bought Eunice Gee back to the Community Centre flat when she made an attempt to collect her belongings after her marriage to Fred had collapsed and she had run away with Ben Critchley. Eunice made the visit when she knew that Fred would be busy at work at the Rovers but Eddie Yeats mentioned to him the fact that the taxi was outside his home and he rushed across the road to beg Eunice to stay and give them another chance. She however remained adamant that she was leaving him.
