The Super Heavyweight Championship of Robot Wars: The Second Wars was the first and only Robot Wars tournament that was held especially for robots up to 154kg in weight. It took place during the time of filming for Robot Wars: The Second Wars, and was briefly featured during the course of the Grudge Matches special at the end of the series. The championship consisted of four three-way melee battles, followed by a final battle featuring the four winning robots. The final was shown in full as part of the Grudge Matches special, billed as the Super Showdown. The four qualifying melees were not televised in full.
