The Phoenix lights incident was an alleged Alien sighting which occured in the city Phoenix, Arizona in the mid 1997. The alleged incident involved many strange lights appearing over the city which was seen by thousands of people. The incident became particulary well known when the government told the people that it was not a UFO of any kind but military jets. Seemingly the lights were described as being about three miles long, and the object made a different noise to what jets make. There is still controversy over if these lights were a UFO or something of a more scientific explanation.
