Around thirty days after Emergence Day, Vietzen was part of the effort to defend the city of Halvo Bay from a huge Locust assault. Vietzen was killed when crossing a makeshift bridge between two buildings which collapsed, plunging Vietzen to his death. Vietzen's COG Tag was later recovered by Lt.Damon Baird of Kilo Squad.
