Raimo Ilmari Helminen (b. March 11th 1964 in Tampere, Finland) is a former professional centre. Nicknamed Raipe and Maestro by his fans, Helminen stands as one of the brightest stars of Finnish hockey. Raimo Helminen returned home in 1996-97 as he joined back Ilves. He played for his home team until his retirement in 2008.
