The Goblin Century is an event which marked the date upon which the Battle of Plain of Mud, which took place on the Plain of Mud (modern-day Lake Hemenster) in the mid-Fourth Age. The Battle was a decisive and important one in goblin history, marking the time at which all of the twelve Goblin Tribes stopped inter-tribal warfare and the parameters of the new Goblin religion were established, including the construction of a Goblin Temple under the area where the battle was fought. The new Goblin Century is currently being celebrated in year 169 of the Fifth Age.
