Nathaniel Madock was Gemma's younger brother (age unknown). Gemma's father Nate Madock says their mother Rose Madock never got over Nathaniel's death, causing the problem's between Gemma and her. Nathaniel suffered from the same heart condition that plagues the mother's side of the family. He was the deciding factor for the parents to move from Charming and into the country, hoping to create a safe place for Gemma.
