Linn is a Sergeant in the U.S Army and a M.P who was also responsible for overseeing the crime scene of two dead drug dealers and a dead Marine. However due to his over-eagerness, he let a TV reporter onto the scene and also searched for ID on the Marine's body without using any gloves, resulting in the scene being contaminated much to the anger of Leroy Jethro Gibbs and Donald Mallard. As a result, Linn was betrated by Ducky for doing such a thing. He further drew Ducky's anger when Linn regarded the Commander as a vic instead of a victim.
