[Source] The Cloak of the Kursk was a black robe worn by the leader of the Force using tradition known as the Blackguard, who held the title of Kursk. In 1 ABY the Kursk of the Blackguard at the time, San'sii, was killed during the Blackguard Purge by spacers hired by a Sullustan archaeologist named Mi Fon Lu to clear the Southern Jedi Ruins on the planet Mustafar where the Blackguard were based. The Cloak was taken by the spacers who killed San'sii as loot.
